Hunxho Falls Back On New Single “Closer To Over”

It’s been a minute since fans have heard a full-length album from Hunxho, but luckily, he plans to deliver all the new music they could hope for this year. Last week, he unleashed his new track “Closer To Over,” following up a collaboration with Summer Walker, as well as a few solo singles. According to him, there’s much more to come.

Hunxho wears his heart on his sleeve in his latest release, lamenting a lack of attention from a romantic partner and considering leaving for good. The track details his journey to deciding when to let go, featuring a melancholy beat and emotional lyrics.

Hunxho Unleashes Emotional Track Ahead Of New Albums

So far, fans are loving the new track, and finding the performer’s heartfelt lyrics all too relatable. It’s safe to say they can’t wait to hear more, and fortunately, they shouldn’t have to wait too much longer. “I usually drop 4-5 projects a year, I ain’t drop yet this year, giving y’all 2 Albums to make up for dat,” Hunxho wrote on Twitter/X today.

Making new music isn’t the only thing Hunxho’s been up to as of late, however. He’s currently making his way around the U.S. on The One Night Only Tour. He’s scheduled to wrap up the tour in June of this year after making stops in notable cities like Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, NYC, and many more. What do you think of Hunxho’s new single? Chloe Bailey Drops Unapologetic New Single, “Boy Bye”

It’s already been a major year for Chloe Bailey, and fortunately for fans, it doesn’t look like she’s showing any signs of slowing down. Over the weekend, the songstress graced the stage at Coachella, delivering what would become an unforgettable performance. She impressed fans with songs like “FYS,” “Have Mercy,” “Body Do,” and more. Chloe also took the opportunity to perform her newest track live for the first time ever, “Boy Bye.”

She first unveiled the song late last week, making a splash with a fun accompanying music video. In the video, Chloe and some of her gal pals are seen making a dramatic exit from her less-than-satisfactory relationship. As they pack up her things and cruise away in a red convertible, she unapologetically tosses his clothes out the back, celebrating her newfound freedom.

Chloe Bailey Is Moving On

Towards the end of the song, Chloe laments her partner’s lack of commitment, revealing that she’s finally ready to move on for good. In an explosive ending, she plays the piano wearing a wedding dress and a flowing white veil, a fire burning behind her. So far, fans are loving the summer-ready single, and can’t wait to hear more from the Atlanta-born performer.

Luckily, Chloe’s been hinting at new music with her sister Halle for a while now, and has a new solo album on the way. At Coachella, she teased the project’s title in an interview with Rolling Stone. She told the outlet that she’d use the wave, thunderstorm, and palm tree emojis to summarize its name. What do you think of Chloe Bailey’s new song? Future & Metro Boomin Tap The Weeknd For Spacey “All To Myself” Off Of New Album “WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU”

Future and Metro Boomin’s second collaborative LP of 2024, WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, is a more R&B-inspired effort than its predecessor, and who better to tap to give the album these ethereal vibes than Abel Tesfaye himself? Moreover, the “Low Life” trio comes together yet again on “All To Myself,” on which both Fewtch and The Weeknd provide some compelling and passionate vocal performances. As for the St. Louis beat wizard, his patient drums, dreamy synth pads, and cavernous guitar solos make for a truly intoxicating vibe that the lead vocalists fit perfectly. Honestly, never mind the alleged Drake diss that the XO boss includes here: this would still be one of the most notable, complete, and chemistry-filled cuts on the whole project.

In fact, this is a pretty tall order considering that The Weeknd also appears on WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU‘s title track (and music video). In comparison to that cut, though, the feature here is much more fleshed-out, compact, and specifically spotlit for the Canadian superstar. He follows Future’s lyrical themes of needing a partner all to himself, and their vulnerable lyrics on the matter, while sometimes too sappy, really fit the tone of the instrumentation on “All To Myself” quite well. Not only that, but this also showcases their vocal chemistry in a really cohesive and complementary way. Whereas Pluto’s croons are low and husky, the “Faith” singer soars high in his range. Also, they handle various flows quite seamlessly, and some extra embellishments like evolving drums and new timbres and melodies mean that Metro also does his part to craft this song dynamically.

Hitkidd & Lil Gotit Would Rather Be “Secluded” On New Single: Stream

Hitkidd recently boosted up his production repertoire again on his prolific streak, teaming up with Lil Gotit for this new single, “Secluded.” Moreover, it’s a woozy cut with bright keys, stark but hard-hitting trap percussion, and a lot of dreamy atmosphere to really put you in a trance. Lyrically, the Atlanta spitter is boasting about the usual flexes with some simple but sharp bars, particularly placing an emphasis on how they’re moving silently and “posted somewhere you can’t be at.” While the “How I’m Pose To Live” MC keeps more or less the same few flows throughout, his energetic vocal delivery does more than enough to keep his lyrics fresh and engaging.

Furthermore, this marks a bit of a departure from what the Memphis producer has been doing recently. He’s done a lot to put on for his city’s classic sounds, recently teaming up with a host of fiery femcees for the Renegade project. However, across Hitkidd’s other production credits, including Bladee and Lil Uzi Vert, there’s clearly a lot of versatility and fundamental skills within his skillset. It also helps that Lil Gotit knows how to approach a track like “Secluded” with a healthy balance of force and calm patience in his performance, highlighting the instrumental’s intoxicating qualities. It’s exactly what he crafted on previous singles like “Dr. Marten,” so while this isn’t an exciting reinvention, it at least keeps the quality standard up to snuff.

The jack of all trades collective has been tearing it up with unique team-ups for the last several months now. It led to 1999 dropping their debut project hella. Rich Brian and the 88rising label have done some tremendous work getting this idea off the ground quickly and it led to some of our favorite songs of the year in 2023. As for Jean, he has continuously impressed, even this year, especially with his “New Age Crisis” single.

It seems that 1999 might be getting ready for a possible deluxe of hella, or just another project entirely.
