Rubius Net Worth 2024: Updated Wealth Of The Streamer

In the vast world of online content creation, few names shine as brightly as El Rubius. As of 2024, this Norwegian-Spanish YouTube sensation boasts an impressive net worth of $7 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. But how did Rubén Doblas Gundersen, better known as El Rubius, climb to such heights?

Born on February 13, 1990, in Mijas, Andalusia, Spain, El Rubius is the product of a diverse heritage, with a Norwegian mother and Spanish father. Significant transitions marked his early years. Following his parents’ divorce at the tender age of three, he relocated to Bergen, Norway, with his mother. However, the call of Spain was strong, and he returned to Madrid, where he developed a passion for geek culture and video games, thanks to his first gaming system, the SNES.

El Rubius’ journey into content creation began in 2006 with the launch of his first YouTube channel, “elrubius.” His initial content revolved around “Grand Theft Auto IV” montages. However, it was his “Skyrim” montages in 2011 that truly catapulted him to fame. Due to some challenges with his original channel, he introduced a new one, “elrubiusOMG,” which quickly gained traction. His unique approach to summarizing video games in just one minute became a viral sensation in Spain. One of his most notable videos, a “Minecraft” parody titled “Minero,” has garnered over 106 million views.

His creative endeavors also extend to the literary world. In 2014, he released “El Libro Troll,” which dominated Spanish bestseller lists. Following this success, he ventured into the realm of comics with his “Virtual Hero” series, which was later adapted into an anime series aired on Movistar+. Notably, El Rubius lent his voice to the show, further solidifying his status as a versatile content creator.

Despite the controversies, his achievements are undeniable. His tweet in 2016 holds the record for the world’s most retweeted post. Moreover, Time magazine recognized him as one of the “next generation leaders.” Further, over the years, El Rubius has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the digital space. He bagged the Play Award for YouTuber of the Year in 2016 and was nominated for the ESLAND Award for Streamer of the Year in 2022.

Drake fans were quick to attack the two in the replies to the post. “Don’t y’all see why streams don’t matter? Touring is where the real money in music is. Your music can be at the top of the music charts but doesn’t mean people actually care about you.” Others came to Metro and Future’s defense, suggesting it’s only been a couple of days since the shows went on sale. “43% in 2 days means everything is almost paid for, it’ll be all profit by May/early June. This is good for a non-pop hiphop tour,” one user wrote.

Jalen Green & Draya Michele Host Baby Shower Celebration After Pregnancy Controversy

Jalen Green and Draya Michele have been hot topics since it was announced they were expecting a child together. Green, who is 22, and Draya, who is 39, caused a big stir when Draya announced her pregnancy. The age gap was what stood out to everyone, with Draya having a child the same age as Green. Draya has received a lot of scrutiny in the situation. Many see her having Green’s child as a predatory act. Jalen Green is a young NBA star and is in a position to sign a major contract soon. The situation is a weird one, for sure.

Jalen Green has shown that he is committed to Draya and the entire situation. Green got a Draya tattoo shortly after the pregnancy announcement. Green also started playing the best basketball of his career after the announcement. Jalen cited his new family as the motivation to elevate his play, and the Rockets won 12 games on the back of his stellar play. Fans still have questions and concerns, but the couple doesn’t seem to share them. Draya and Jalen celebrated their baby shower this past weekend.

Jalen Green And Draya Michele Celebrate With Family And Friends

Jalen Green and Draya Michele look happy and excited at their baby shower. The two celebrated their baby girl with family and friends. It’s nice to see the expecting parents excited for their child. The situation looks messy from the outside and will continue to spark discussion. Nevertheless, they look happy. Despite the shower being nice and the couple looking happy, Green is still accused of fathering at least two other children with a stripper and model before Draya.

If more kids motivate Jalen Green to play like he did in the last stretch of the season, then Rockets fans will welcome them. Jalen Green locked in like a guy who knew his expenses were about to get real. For Draya, fans will continue to scrutinize her. The situation is bred for attention, and she has been in the game long enough to brush it off. We can be sure the amount of money her child with Jalen Green will ensure her is more than enough compensation.

Trey Songz Settles $25 Million Lawsuit: What We Know

In the last decade or so, Trey Songz has been attached to one lawsuit or the other.  The R&B singer has found himself caught in an endless series of legal battles over the past few years. It won’t be a stretch to say that these allegations have all but overshadowed his music career. The most recent of these, a lawsuit from two years ago was recently settled out of court and probably cost Trey Songz an ample sum of money.

What Did Trey Songz Do?

News of the lawsuit against Trey Songz first broke in February 2022. A woman, identified in court documents as “Jane Doe,” stepped forward with allegations against the “I Invented Sex” singer. She claimed that Trey Songz had allegedly sexually assaulted her at a party in 2016. This reportedly set off a chain of events that would unfold over the next few years before she eventually decided to sue.

In the lawsuit, she admitted having a consensual relationship with Trey Songz before the incident. According to her report, Songz invited her to his room upstairs at a house party in Los Angeles. Soon after, he allegedly proceeded to coerce her into having anal sex with him. However, when she kept turning him down, Songz allegedly became angry and got physically aggressive. Specifically, she alleged that Songz pinned her to the ground, tore off her clothes, and committed the act even as she pleaded with him to stop. The suit also included reports of a sexual assault exam conducted on the woman at an Emergency Care Unit in Burbank.

But his abuse didn’t end there that night. Jane Doe also revealed that she had crossed paths with Trey Songz again in New York. She insists that she was subjected to further humiliation from the singer. According to her, Songz had resorted to name-calling and had even sicced his security guards on her.

The Lawsuit Against Trey Songz

At first, it seemed as if Trey Songz would be left off scot-free as Jane Doe’s initial $20 million civil lawsuit hit a snag. His legal team argued that the claim had exceeded the statute of limitations. However, the woman in question refused to back down. She came back swinging again in 2023, upping the settlement costs to $25 million, and doubling down on her accusations. Additionally, she filed a lawsuit against Trey Songz’s manager Kevin Liles.

As the news emerged, the public couldn’t help but weigh in. Trey’s fans, loyal to the core, struggled to reconcile the image of their favorite heartthrob with the troubling allegations swirling around him. Meanwhile, skeptics and gossip mongers had a field day dissecting every detail of the scandal, and how the allegations tie in so well with other assault allegations brought against him in the past.

Other Allegations

Trey Songz has been accused of sexual and physical assault on and off since at least 2012. In fact, at the time of the first lawsuit in 2022, Trey Songz was facing allegations from two different women. One of the allegations was from a woman identified as Jahaura Jeffries. This concerned a 2018 New Years Eve party incident that took place at rapper Diddy’s home on Star Island.

Some of these allegations have also come from women in the public eye. The popular actress Keke Palmer has been vocal about her run-in with Songz in the past. She accused him of sexual harassment and intimidation in 2017 after he used a video clip she did not consent to recording in his music video for “Pick Up The Phone.” Palmer also claimed that she had to hide in a closet when his attempts allegedly began to get aggressive. WNBA player Dylan Gonzalez also came out in January 2022 to accuse Songz of allegedly assaulting her in a Las Vegas hotel.

The Settlement

Trey Songz’s legal team reached out to the courts not long after conditionally settling the lawsuit out of court. This occurred in April for an undisclosed amount. The legal document, as reported by Radar Online, read: “The settlement agreement conditions dismissal of this matter on the satisfactory completion of specified terms that are not to be performed within 45 days of the date of the settlement. A request for dismissal will be filed no later than June 10, 2024.” This means that the trial date which had previously been set for September 16, 2024 will now be vacated.

‘Freaknik’ Doc Director P. Frank Williams To Be Honored At San Diego State University

P. Frank Williams has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 School of Journalism and Media Studies Alumni Impact Award by his alma mater San Diego State University. The award will be presented to Williams on May 10, 2024 at JMS Next, the school’s annual graduation celebration.

Williams, an Emmy and 8-time NAACP Image winner, will be celebrated for his outstanding contributions to the field of media and storytelling producing and directing several acclaimed projects centered around Black culture and music including TV One’s renowned documentary series “Unsung” and “Unsung Hollywood,” BET’s award-winning series “American Gangster,” “Hip Hop Homicides” executive produced by 50 Cent and Mona Scott-Young and films such as “Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang Clan,” and his latest top-trending Hulu documentary “Freaknik: The Wildest Party Never Told.”

The journalism school was a place that I called home and it was a place where I discovered a lot about myself as a journalist, as a writer and as a reporter,” said Williams. “A lot of the lessons that I learned, stuff that I got from San Diego State, has propelled my career from newspapers to magazines to television and documentary filmmaking. Professionally, it means a lot to receive this award because JMS is the foundation of all that I’ve achieved.”

A native of Oakland, California, Williams has had a career spanning three decades in Film/TV and journalism, during which he has made a significant impact as a writer, speaker, teacher, and producer. The award honor comes on the heels of the recent announcement of his multimedia production company, For The Culture By The Culture (@FXCXC). Williams is actively addressing the underrepresentation of people of color in the media by prioritizing authentic representation both in front of and behind the camera.

“Williams personifies what the Alumni Impact Award is all about. We are celebrating him not only for his professional achievements but also for his commitment to social change and justice,” said director of JMS, Dr. Temple Northup.

“It’s just an amazing and beautiful feeling to be able to come full circle back to JMS. I just want to make sure that all of the students at the school know that it doesn’t matter your background or where you start,” said Williams. “It’s about putting the work in, staying focused and trying to get to that next level. So whatever it is that you can dream of, you can achieve it. You just got to go toward the goal and go toward the light.”
